- Simple Moving Average in an uptrend (the majority of the closes are above the SMA line) on the 1 year chart
- At least one close (but no more than three closes) below the moving average line
- Subsequent close (and entry point) above the moving average line AND the upper Bollinger Band correspondingly increases in value.
- For bear markets--a price line that looks like it runs in a mirror image of, not in a parallel way to, the S&P Index.
